Testing Your Website - Step 10
This is step ten in our Starting a New Website Checklist - check out that post if you happened upon this one and want to a handy link to all of the steps in order.
So my website looks fine, why do I need to test it? A number of reasons. Someone may be using an old browser, or you might have missed some broken links somewhere. One misplaced piece of code for the wrong browser could mean a percentage of your users “bounce” without ever looking at your site again. You don’t want to waste your efforts and lose an entire group of people! You also want to do a load test if you anticipate a lot of traffic. Load tests will show you how your site reacts to simultaneous users from around the world and simulate what would happen if you suddenly got very popular.
